Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Applied Meters, a.s. as the controller processes when operating the website appliedmeters.sk, for what purposes, on what legal basis, how long it is retained, and what rights you have. Processing is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on personal data protection.
1. Controller and contact details
The controller is Applied Meters, a.s., Budovateľská 50, 080 01 Prešov, Slovak Republic, company ID (IČO) 36493732, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court Prešov, section Sa, file No. 10285/P. Contact for data-protection matters: info@appliedmeters.sk, tel. +421 51 758 11 69. A Data Protection Officer has not been appointed, as the statutory conditions for the appointment are not met.
2. What data we process and for what purposes
In connection with the Website we process personal data for the following purposes:
- Contact and inquiry form – name or company name, e-mail, phone, subject and content of the message; for a photovoltaics inquiry also details about the property (location, roof type and size, expected consumption). Purpose: to process and answer the inquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to a request), or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the inquiry is aimed at concluding a contract. Retention: up to 1 year from the last communication.
- User account and sign-in to the customer area – e-mail, password stored as a cryptographic hash, first and last name, company name, approval status and related dates. Purpose: creating and managing the account, verifying the e-mail, approving access and providing the downloads section. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (provision of the customer-area service). Retention: for the lifetime of the account; after deletion, up to 6 months in backups.
- Website operation and security (server logs) – IP address, date and time of access, browser and operating-system type, requested URL. Purpose: ensuring operation, security and abuse prevention. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Retention: generally up to 6 months.

3. Recipients and processors
We disclose personal data only to the extent necessary to the following categories of recipients:
- provider of the database, authentication and hosting for the customer area (Supabase);
- transactional e-mail delivery provider (Resend);
- provider of the server and hosting infrastructure for the Website;
- IT support and maintenance providers;
- public authorities where required by law.

4. Transfers to third countries
Some processors (e.g. the e-mail delivery provider) may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the USA. Such transfers are safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46 GDPR, or by a European Commission adequacy decision (EU–US Data Privacy Framework). A copy of the appropriate safeguards is available on request.
5. Automated decision-making
We do not carry out automated individual decision-making or profiling with legal effects for data subjects.
6. Your rights
- the right of access to your personal data and to a copy of it;
- the right to rectification of inaccurate data and completion of incomplete data;
- the right to erasure („to be forgotten“) under the conditions in Art. 17 GDPR;
- the right to restriction of processing;
- the right to data portability for data processed on the basis of a contract or consent;
- the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal;
- the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, www.dataprotection.gov.sk.
You can exercise your rights at info@appliedmeters.sk. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity. We respond to requests generally within one month.
7. Obligation to provide data
Providing data in the forms and during registration is voluntary, but it is necessary to process an inquiry or create an account – without it we cannot provide the given service.
8. Security
We have adopted appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, in particular encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access-rights management, storing passwords as hashes and regular backups.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page together with the date of the last update.
